Departure from Quebec towards Rivière-à-Pierre

Four departures are to be scheduled for this summer, saterdays july 18th (canceled), august 1(canceled), august 15 (canceled), august 29 and september 26, all by private bus with a trailer suitable for bicycles.

Schedule

  • 7:30 am - Departure at the Gare du Palais de Québec
  • 8:00 am - Loretteville
  • 8:20 am - Jacques-Cartier/Portneuf path parking, across from the Valcartier Research Center
  • 8:40 am - Duchesnay Tourist Station
  • 9:00 am -Jacques-Cartier/Portneuf path designated parking lot, corner of St-Alexis and St-Jean streets in Saint-Raymond
  • 9:30 am - Arrival at Rivière-à-Pierre

Reservation

Reservations required: Reservations can be made by phone between 9 am and 5 pm Monday to Friday at 418 337-7525. A credit card is required (Visa or Master Card) to place the reservation.

Price

Flat rate regardless of points of departure and destination: $ 35 / person, including taxes and bicycle transportation.

Cancellation Policy

The total amount will be charged if the cancellation occurs after the wednesday prior to the departure date.

Taxi-Shuttle

At any time, you can use the "Taxi Bédard company" which offers a personalized taxi-shuttle service to meet your specific needs (418 337-3377). The price of transportation is dependant on the distance traveled. Get the facts!

Train

Escapade Vélo/Train

Did you know that you can take the VIA train from Montreal to Rivière-à-Pierre with your bike (Montreal-Jonquière line)? Leaving directly from this municipality, which is the most northerly of the Jacques-Cartier / Portneuf Vélopiste, is a bike path which runs up to Quebec City. After riding its entirety and the subsequent Cheminot Corridor you will have traveled about 93 km to the Gare du Palais de Québec station to take the return VIA train back to Montreal (Québec City-Montreal line).
